CDM/Construction Safety Advisor


We are a progressive and dynamic safety consultancy, working mainly in the construction sector, and we are looking to appoint an advisor to look after clients, in the wider Midlands area.

The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a small team, on a variety of projects, providing safety & risk management support, on a consultancy basis.




We advise and assist, on a broad range of construction-related projects, in accordance with the requirements of the Construction, (Design and Management) Regulations. (CDM2015)


Day-to-day duties will be include, but are not limited to: -


  • Construction site audits and inspections.

  • CDM documentation to support all duty holders, such as Construction Phase Plans and Pre-Construction Information.

  • Conducting accident investigations and advising around RIDDOR

  • Review of policies and procedures, including GAP Analysis.

  • General safety advice (competent person service)

  • Contractor Assessments

  • RAMS Support

  • Assisting clients with SSIP Accreditations, such as CHAS, Safe Contractor, or Construction Line. 


Qualifications / Experience:


The minimum requirements for this role are:


  • Recognised H&S/Risk qualifications and a desire to further enhance overall levels of competence, skills and experience.

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate

  • CSCS Card


The ideal candidate will be working towards a Graduate Membership of IOSH or other recognised industry body.


They will have a proactive approach to the implementation of all aspects of H&S management, especially the ability to converse at all levels, and promote a positive safety culture, within our client’s businesses, in a meaningful and effective manner.


  • They will be able to work as part of a small team and be self-sufficient in terms of admin and non-fee earning duties.

  • Able to deliver assigned tasks on time and to budget.

  • Be able to use their initiative and have the ability to work independently, when required.

  • Be familiar and comfortable with the use of IT systems including MS Office software packages.

  • Good report writing and communication skills, both written and oral, with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism

  • The ability to travel to project sites, including those located outside our focus area.  This may include the ability to work away from the base office for short-term assignments.

  • UK valid driving licence essential.
